The Lancaster County Super Fair offers seemingly endless games, live shows and food options for visitors of all ages.Â
With the seemingly endless number of offerings at the 2022 Lancaster County Super Fair, it will take more than one trip to truly experience it all.Â
Free family shows, exciting carnival rides, agriculture and education experiences and action-packed MotorMania events are only the beginning. Throw in performances by Lemon Fresh Day, Nebraska’s No. 1 cover band, and High Heel the Band, Omaha’s No. 1 cover band, and you have a county fair beyond compare.
The Super Fair runs July 28 through Aug. 6 at the Lancaster Event Center Fairgrounds in Lincoln. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. weeknights and noon to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The fair offers a variety of activities and events including:
- Free family shows, all 10 days
- MotorMania events, July 29 and 30 and Aug. 5 and 6
- Pepsi Free Music & Entertainment Series, July 29 to 31 and Aug. 5 and 6
- Free agriculture and educational family experiences, first four days only
- Fairgoer competitions, various dates
- Heart of America Carnival, all 10 days
New this year
Puppy Pals Comedic Dog Stunt Show, an action-packed show featuring adopted and rescued dogs performing spectacular stunts as seen on “America’s Got Talent” is new at the fair this year.
Also making its debut at the Super Fair this year is the Hispanic Cultural Festival, which features folkloric dances and live music, Sunday, July 31.
Puppy Pals Comedic Dog Stunt Show features spectacular stunts performed by a group of talented pups that is not to be missed.
Returning faves
The ever-popular NoWear BMX Bike Stunt Show presented by Morrow Collision Center returns to the Super Fair this year, featuring professional riders of all ages performing in live X-Games style.
MotorMania, with four fast-paced, mud-flingin’ motorsport nights, returns this year but from the new shaded Outdoor Grandstand Arena. Events include Figure 8 Races presented by Gana Trucking & Excavating; Demolition Derby presented by T.O. Haas; and all new monster trucks presented by Morrow Collision Center. Pro TV Monster Trucks perform jumps and stunts, with a meet-and-greet photo-op with the pros before the event.
Also new this year, both general admission and limited reserved seating are available. In addition, visitors who purchase their ticket for MotorMania by July 27th will receive 20% off the price of admission.
NoWear BMX Bike Stunt Show gives viewers a thrilling experience as they witness professional riders perform incredible stunts.Â
For the first four days only, see more than 5,000 4-H/FFA livestock animals and exhibits from horticulture and foods to robotics, photography and fashion.Â
The James Enterprise Family Fun Zone in the Multi-Purpose Arena has doubled in size, with activities including:
- Newly expanded Fun at the Farm by Lancaster County Farm Bureau
- Animal Encounters by Lincoln Children’s Zoo
- Historic Display by Morrill Hall University of Nebraska State Museum
- Honey making and beekeeping demonstration
During the second week, enjoy daily horse shows and walk through a farm animal petting zoo. On Saturday, Aug. 6, take in the open class livestock shows.
Competition for all
At many fairs, visitors are just observers. But at Lancaster County Super Fair, visitors get into the action at the following:
- Cinnamon roll contest
- Show & Shine car show
- Open class static
- Open class livestock
- Kids Big Wheel race and pedal tractor pull
- Mutton bustin’
- Kids’ scavenger hunt

Tickets
Get free Fair Gate Admission tickets beginning July 1 at U-Stop Shops, Super Saver, Russ’s Market and West Gate Bank. Otherwise, Fair Gate Admission is $3 per person per day. Parking is $5 per vehicle per day. Both are cash only.
Special event tickets and “All-You-Can-Ride” carnival wristbands are available online or at the fairgrounds main office, 4100 N. 84th St., 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
