What went wrong: After a scoreless first period, Omaha scored four goals in the second period, including two special teams goals in Omaha. Filip Suchy, who leads the Lancers in goals, scored a power-play goal 1 minute, 4 seconds into the second period. After adding another goal just past the halfway point of the period for a 2-0 lead, Omaha scored two goals in the final 1:07 of the period. Jack Randl scored at the 18:53 mark and former Star Ethan Price tallied the first of his two goals with a short-handed tally at the 19:41 mark. Price added another in the third period for his 11th goal of the season, before Omaha tacked one on late to take the 6-0 victory.
What went right: Despite the loss, Lincoln's Tomas Vomacka was able to turn aside 10 shots in the first period to hold the Lancers scoreless in the frame.
