Friday: Youngstown 5, Lincoln 2.

What went wrong: After trailing 2-0, the Stars tied it with two goals in the second period, only to see the Phantoms score three straight in Youngstown, Ohio. Trevor Kuntar gave the Phantoms a 1-0 lead at the 9:40 mark of the first period, then assisted on Matthew Barnaby’s goal at 10:31 of the second. After the Stars tied it, Connor MacEachern scored in the final minute of the second period to put the Phantoms back in front for good. Youngstown added two more goals in the third. The Stars were 0-for-3 on the power play, stretching their streak of scoreless man-advantage situations to 15.

What went right/wrong: Josh Lopina and Tristan Ashbrook scored for Lincoln to rally the Stars before the Phantoms pulled away. The Stars killed three of Youngstown’s four power-play chances.

Up next: The two teams match up again in Youngstown at 6 p.m. Saturday.
