Friday: Lincoln 4, Omaha 2.

What went right: The Stars snapped a 10-game losing streak, scored one goal in each of the first two periods before finishing things off with two more goals in the third. Josh Bohlin scored in the first, then Josh Lopina scored in the second. Riyan Carmichael scored early in the third to restore a two-goal advantage, and Brock Bremer got an empty-netter in the final minutes after the Lancers had cut the lead to one goal again. The Stars had few shots, but were very efficient, converting four of the 17 they took. Jacob Mucitelli saved 28 of 30 shots in Lincoln's first win since a 6-5 win over Team USA on March 8. It was the Stars' first road win since Jan. 26, a 7-3 victory at Green Bay.

What went wrong: Jan Kern and Aleksi Peltonen scored goals for Omaha. The Stars were 1-for-4 on power play opportunities.

Up next: Lincoln will close out the season Saturday against the Lancers at the Ice Box at 7 p.m.
