Saturday: Muskegon 4, Lincoln 3, SO

What went wrong: After Lincoln took a brief 3-2 lead over the Lumberjacks in Muskegon, Michigan, it was former Star Declan Carlile that helped rally the home team, knotting the score 3-3 midway through the third period. After neither team could find the back of the net in regulation and overtime, Egor Afanasyev scored the lone shootout goal for Muskegon. Afanasyev also gave Muskeon a 2-1 lead after Lincoln tied the score early in the third. Cam Knuble gave the Lumberjacks a 1-0 lead in the second period.

What went right: Trailing 1-0 heading into the third period, Tristan Ashbrook knotted the score 1-1 just 22 seconds into the period. Grant Johnson tied the game 2-2 and former Lumberjack Brock Bremer gave Lincoln the 3-2 lead 9:39 into the period. Steven Agriogianis finished with assists on both Ashbrook's and Johnson's goals. Jacob Mucitelli made 37 saves on 40 Muskegon shot attempts, and the Stars went 1-for-1 on the power play.

Up next: Lincoln heads to Chicago to face the Chicago at 3 p.m. Sunday.
