Saturday: Omaha 4, Lincoln 1.

What went wrong: Over the course of the last few seasons, former Lincoln players have had a knack for finding the back of the net against the Stars. Saturday was no different as Kyle Kawamura and Austen Long, both former Stars, potted goals. Kawamura gave the Lancers a 2-0 lead following Travis Mitchell's first-period power-play goal, and Long capitalized on a Mitchell pass early in the third. The Stars were boxed for 16 minutes on eight penalties and allowed the lone power-play goal. Lincoln was also not able to capitalize on five power-play chances.

What went right: Ross Mitton scored his sixth of the season, and first as a Star, 13:46 into the third period to break the shutout. Despite allowing four goals, Jacob Mucitelli stopped 27 shots.

Up next: Lincoln continues on the road with a Friday-Saturday showdown with the Youngstown Phantoms in Ohio.
