Sunday: Chicago 6, Lincoln 1

What went wrong: Lincoln was denied on its first 15 shots through 40 minutes, giving way to a 4-0 Chicago lead after two periods Sunday in Chicago. The Stars couldn't keep the puck out of the net early or late in the period. All six of the Steel's goals came in the first six minutes or the last six minutes. Former Stars captain Josiah Slavin scored first for the Steel to open the floodgates.

What went right: Samuel Hlavaj stopped the first 11 shots he saw, holding Chicago to a 14-minute scoring drought in the first period. Lincoln's power play streak stayed alive when Samuli Niinisaari scored the lone goal, his seventh of the season. The Stars now have four power play goals in the past three games. Lincoln also killed two of Chicago's three power plays.

Up next: Lincoln heads to Des Moines to face the Buccaneers at 7 p.m. on Friday.
