Friday: Lincoln 10, Cleburne 3.

What went right: Lincoln scored in each of the first three innings in its win in Cleburne, Texas. Randolph Oduber and Curt Smith hit run-scoring doubles in the first inning. Ivan Marin's sacrifice fly in the second put Lincoln up 3-1, then in the third, the Saltdogs added to their lead on Christian Ibarra's three-run homer. The Saltdogs struck for three more runs in the seventh. Ibarra had three hits, and Marin, Curt Smith, Cesar Valera and T.J. Bennett had two hits apiece, as the Saltdogs finished with 14 hits.

What went wrong: Saltdogs starter Dan Johnson gave up a run in the first and third innings before settling down.

Streaks: The Saltdogs have won the first two games of the series.

Next: The teams conclude the three-game series Saturday with a 7 p.m. game.
