Thursday: Lincoln 2, Cleburne 0.

What went right: Austin Robichaux came within one out of a no-hitter in tossing a complete-game gem for the Saltdogs in Cleburne, Texas. Trevor Sealey broke up the no-hitter with a double down the third-base line with two outs in the ninth inning. That hit prevented what would have been just the second no-hitter in Saltdogs history. Jarrett Gardner has the team's only no-hitter, tossing it in 2009. Robichaux struck out nine and didn't walk a batter. Both teams struggled offensively, but the Saltdogs managed a pair of runs on seven hits. Jamey Smart singled in Curt Smith in the sixth inning, and Cesar Valera scored on a wild pitch in the ninth for an insurance run. Smart and Brandon Jacobs and each had two-hit games.

What went wrong: There isn't much to nitpick when your starting pitcher goes the distance and allows one hit. Lincoln hitters struck out seven times on the night.

Dog bytes: The complete game was the second of the season for Robichaux. It was the first one-hit complete game of the season in the American Association.

What's next: Lincoln will play Cleburne at 7 p.m. Friday.
