Thursday: Lincoln 10, Cleburne 6

What went right: Lincoln gave up three runs in the top of the first inning but responded with two runs of its own. The Saltdogs then exploded in the bottom of the third for six runs to run away from the Railroaders. Brandon Jacobs led the way with five RBIs on three hits, including a two-run home run in the bottom of the third. His three hits raised his batting average to .263.

What went wrong: The only negative from Thursday's contest came in the top of the first inning, when Cleburne scored three runs to start the game off Shairon Martis. Fortunately, Martis settled down and was able to throw six innings and strike out eight batters.

Dog bytes: The bats are on fire for the Saltdogs as Thursday's contest marked the third straight game that Lincoln has scored over 10 runs.

What's next: Cleburne is still in town for series finale at 7 p.m. on Friday.
