Boston Marathon

Runners race to the finish line in the 123rd Boston Marathon Monday in Boston.

More than 50 Nebraskans competed in Monday's Boston Marathon.

The Lincoln husband-wife combination of Jay and Amber Oligmueller were among the top finishers from the state.

Lincoln's Eddie Walters placed 297th in a time of 2 hours, 38 minutes, 58 seconds.

Amber Oligmueller was the area's top women's finisher. She finished in 778th place in 3:15:24.

Kenya's Lawrence Cherono won the men's race in 2:07:57, while Ethiopia's Worknesh Degefa won the women's race in 2:23.31. American Jordan Hasay was fifth in the women's race.
