Dordt vs. Doane

The Doane Tigers assemble on the field before their game against Dordt last season in Crete.

For the first time since 1997, Doane will host an NAIA football playoff game.

The No. 7 Tigers will host Eastern Oregon at 1 p.m. Saturday at Al Papik Field in Crete.

Doane capped a 9-1 regular season with a rout of Briar Cliff on Saturday. The Tigers' lone loss was to No. 1 Morningside.

This will mark Doane's sixth NAIA playoff appearance, and second in a row. The Tigers lost to Tabor (Kan.) 16-14 in last year's first round.

Eastern Oregon is 8-2 and ranked ninth. The Mountaineers enter the postseason on a six-game winning streak.

General-admission tickets for Saturday's game are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Morningside will host Tabor on Saturday.
