Midland's volleyball season came to an end on Saturday morning at the hands of Park (Missouri) in the semifinals of the NAIA tournament in Sioux City, Iowa. 

The Warriors (26-8) won the first set, but ultimately, Park (35-1) came back to win the semifinal matchup 26-28, 25-19, 25-15, 25-10. Taylor Petersen led Midland with 14 kills and four blocks, while Priscilla O'Dowd added 11 kills and four blocks. 

The first set went back and forth, with neither team leading by more than three points throughout. After an attacking error from Park, Midland's Sydney Morehouse gave the Warriors the 1-0 lead with one of her five kills on the day. 

After that, however, Park began to dominate. Up 16-8 in the second set, the Pirates never allowed Midland to threaten in the second set, taking it 25-19. The Warriors were within two in the third set, only to watch Park go on an 8-0 run increase the lead to 2-1. 

The Pirates started the fourth and final set on a 20-8 run and advanced to the NAIA National Championship, where they will face Columbia (Missouri). Columbia advanced with a 3-1 victory over Viterbo (Wisconsin).

To get to the semifinal, Midland defeated Missouri Baptist and Lindsey Wilson (Kentucky) on Friday.
