The 12th ranked Nebraska wrestling team won four of the final five matches to defeat Wyoming 22-12 in Laramie, Wyoming, on Sunday.
Tied 9-9 at the intermission after Taylor Venz (184 pounds) and Eric Schultz (197) earned 7-1 and 7-3 decisions, respectively, and redshirt freshman Tucker Sjomeling upset No. 8 Montorie Bridges in a 13-11 decision at 133 pounds, Nebraska All-American Chad Red started the Huskers on the right track coming out of the break with a 6-2 decision of his own at 141 pounds.
Red, ranked No. 11 in the country, defeated Sam Turner after not wrestling on Friday night when the Huskers fell to No. 18 Wisconsin by criteria.
Jordan Shearer (149) and Mikey Labriola (174) picked up six more points for Nebraska in decision victories, while third-ranked Tyler Berger (157) earned his fifth major decision of the season in a 14-1 victory for NU. Berger, a two-time All-American, moved to 5-0 on the season.
Nebraska returns to action on Nov. 30 at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas.
