Former Nebraska women’s basketball coach Connie Yori will receive a severance package of about $1.2 million from the university after resigning as coach on Tuesday following an investigation into the program.

As part of the voluntary separation and settlement of liquidated damages under her contract, she’ll receive $1,199,998.

That includes $104,298 for earned vacation and holiday pay, and $1,095,700 in two installments. The first, in the amount of $527,350, is due on or before April 15, and the second in the amount of $568,350, within seven days after Jan. 7, 2017.

Yori’s base salary at Nebraska was $732,913. She had been working with a contract that lasted until June 30, 2020.

Yori’s contract with NU was through 2019-20, and called for a $30,000-per-month payment for the term of the deal if she were fired. Under those terms, Yori could have received $1.5 million.
