Scouting: Jessica Washington is the leader for Jayhawks after sitting out last season with a knee injury. She has already earned Big 12 player of the week honors this season and scored 30 points in a game in late November against George Mason. Washington played her first two college seasons at North Carolina.

Trending: Kansas is a senior-heavy team. Seven seniors make up the Jayhawk roster, and four of them are in the starting lineup. Kansas has played one game within 10 points, a seven-point win over LSU on Nov. 29, and is outscoring its opponents by an average of 15.7 points per game. This is new territory for Kansas after going 12-18 last season.

Forecasting: Nebraska is in dire need of a win after dropping four of its last five. Kansas seems to have a much different team from last season, when it finished 3-15 in the Big 12. NU could have a great opportunity to win the game if Hannah Whitish can find her scoring ability that was shown last season.
