After producing 11 hits in six games, Nebraska's Tristen Edwards was named Big Ten co-player of the week in softball.
The sophomore shortstop hit .524 and had four multi-hit games. Her weekend included a walk-off RBI hit against No. 19 BYU and a two-run homer against Seattle University.
Edwards reached based in all six plate appearances Sunday, including five hits, a homer and a double. The Murrieta, California, native shared the weekly honor with Minnesota outfielder Dani Wagner.
Nebraska went 5-1 at the Kajiwaka Classic in Tempe, Arizona. The Huskers will play Georgia Tech and Boston College this weekend in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in Atlanta.
