Nebraska catcher Taylor Edwards (12) after winning the first game of a doubleheader against Ohio State on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Bowlin Stadium. The Huskers beat Ohio State 8-0 in both games.

Former Husker Taylor Edwards will be returning to Bowlin Stadium, this time as a volunteer assistant for the Nebraska softball team.

Edwards, who is currently playing with the U.S. National Team in the International Cup, was a four-year starter (2011-14) and an All-American at Nebraska. She will work with NU's catchers.

Edwards' twin sister Tatum was a graduate assistant for the Huskers in 2016 and 2017, and their younger sister Tristen is about to enter her junior season at NU.

Nebraska also announced the addition of Jenna Lilley as graduate manager. Lilley was an All-American at Oregon, and joined the Ducks as the nation's No. 1 recruit in 2015. As an infielder, she helped lead Oregon to three appearances in the Women's College World Series (2015, 2017 and 2018).

Lilley, a Canton, Ohio, native, was drafted by the Cleveland Comets in the 2018 NFP draft, and she played for the U.S. National Team last summer. She, too, is playing in the International Cup, which runs through Sunday.

"We could not be more thrilled to add Taylor and Jenna to our Nebraska softball staff," NU coach Rhonda Revelle said in a statement. "They each represent excellence and will bring energy, knowledge and a passion for the game to our team. It's a great day for Nebraska softball because we are adding exceptional mentors and people both on and off the field."
