Gretzky is the niece of NHL great Wayne Gretzky. The Brantford, Ontario, native is a multi-sport athlete, competing in cross country, track and field, basketball and volleyball. In soccer, Gretzky helped her team advance to the finals of the Ontario Cup in 2018.
Popoola played high school ball at Blue Valley West, where she helped lead the school to back-to-back state titles in 2017 and 2018.

Fellow Colorado native Cardenas led her club team to runner-up finishes in the State Cup in 2016 and 2018, and earned State Cup MVP honors in 2017.
Walker was a two-time all-conference honoree while playing at Forest Lake High School in Minnesota.
