The Nebraska soccer team begins a key stretch of games Thursday.

The Huskers will play at No. 19 Wisconsin (11-2-3, 5-1-3 Big Ten) at 7 p.m. Thursday before returning home to host Illinois (10-6-0, 5-4-0) at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Nebraska (8-4-4, 4-1-3) enters Thursday's game in Madison, Wisconsin, in a three-way tie for fourth place in the Big Ten standings. Nebraska, Ohio State and Illinois each have 15 points.

Penn State sits atop the standings with 21 points, while Wisconsin and Rutgers are tied for second at 18 points apiece.

The Badgers are riding a six-match unbeaten streak, which includes four wins. Nebraska is 3-1-1 all-time in Madison.

Illinois, meanwhile, has won four of its past five matches. The Illini play Northwestern on Thursday.

Nebraska is ranked 34th in the latest RPI rankings. Only two Big Ten teams — Rutgers at 27 and Penn State at 31 — are ranked higher in the RPI.
