Nebraska has a commitment from one Cherry Creek (Colorado) High School standout.
The Huskers would like at least one more.
Three-star offensive guard Carson Lee, a 2020 prospect, was on an unofficial visit to Saturday's Nebraska-Purdue game at Memorial Stadium. Lee, who has an offer from NU, is a high school teammate of 2019 NU recruit Michael Lynn.
Arizona, Colorado, Michigan and Iowa State also have offered the 6-foot-4, 305-pound Lee.
Lineman Brant Banks was back in Lincoln, which could be a good sign for the Huskers. Banks, a 6-7 2019 prospect out of Houston, made his official visit for the Akron game.
Three-star safety prospect Aaron Beasley, who's committed to Tennessee, and three-star offensive tackle prospect Jeremy James, who's committed to Mississippi, also visited Nebraska this weekend.
Though there wasn't a ton of big-name prospects in this weekend, there was quite a collection of in-state players on the sideline during warmups.
That included speedster Miko Maessner of Kearney, who is a 2020 prospect. Also, Aurora quarterback Baylor Scheierman, Lincoln Southeast's Isaac Gifford, Lincoln Southwest kicker Dylan Jorgensen and Fillmore Central's Riley Moses, who recently committed as a Husker walk-on, were in attendance.
Quinton Newsome, a three-star recruit committed to NU, made his official visit Saturday. Nick Heinrich (Omaha Burke), Chris Hickman (Burke), Garrett Nelson (Scottsbluff), Garrett Snodgrass (York), Ethan Piper (Norfolk Catholic) and Grant Detlefsen (Lincoln Southeast) also were at the game.
NU athlete recruit Jamie Nance (Blanchard, Oklahoma) also was in town.
