Pius X vs. Lincoln East, prep football, 8/23/18

Lincoln Pius X's Austin Jablonski (16) tries to evade Lincoln East's Chris Karmazin at Seacrest Field last season. Jablonski almost 2,400 combined yards and 29 touchdowns at quarterback as a senior.

Nebraska's walk-on class got stronger on Christmas Eve.

Lincoln Pius X standout quarterback Austin Jablonski announced on Twitter Monday evening that he will walk on with the Huskers in 2019.

Jablonski was one of the top quarterbacks in Class A this past season. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder completed 57 percent of his throws for 1,807 yards and 20 touchdowns while throwing only five interceptions.

He was easily Pius X's top running threat, too, finishing with 592 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 143 carries.

Jablonski also is a starter for the Bolts' basketball team.

Jablonski participated in Nebraska's Friday Night Lights camp last summer. He had an offer from Nebraska-Kearney.
