Nebraska officially added eight walk-ons on Wednesday and added another Thursday afternoon.

Iowa Western Community College offensive lineman Joshua Wegener announced on Twitter his intent to join the Huskers.

Wegener is listed at 6-foot-2 and 295 pounds on the Reivers’ website and has played defensive line and offensive line for Scott Strohmeier’s program during his two years in Council Bluffs.

Wegener is an Algona, Iowa, native.

He is the 13th known walk-on commit for 2019 for the Huskers, eight of whom were officially announced by the school Wednesday afternoon as part of December’s early signing period.

IWCC hasn’t been a school NU’s received many juco players from in the past, but Wegener is the second walk-on lineman to join the Huskers recently with time spent at the nearby community college, joining Brian Perez.
