With an 11 a.m. kickoff this week, Nebraska hosted a smaller group of recruits for the Troy game. There were no official visitors, according to 247Sports.
Among the group of unofficial visitors was Omaha Burke standout tight end/defensive end Chris Hickman, who later announced his commitment to the Huskers.
Hickman, who was on one of the Huskers' top targets, helped lead top-ranked Omaha Burke to a 41-24 win against Omaha North on Friday night. Nebraska assistant coaches Barrett Ruud and Sean Beckton were seen standing on the sideline at Omaha Northwest's Kinnick Stadium.
Current Husker commitments Garrett Snodgrass (York), Grant Detlefsen (Lincoln Southeast) and Ethan Piper (Norfolk Catholic) were among those on the sideline prior to Saturday's game.
Antonio Doyle, a three-star linebacker from Hazelwood, Missouri, also was seen before the game chatting with Husker defensive backs coach Travis Fisher. Doyle stands at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. He has offers from Nebraska and Missouri.
Monroe Mills, a 6-7 offensive lineman from Missouri, and Tristan Roper, a 6-5 offensive lineman also from Missouri, were at the game, too.
