Put Nebraska's commitment list back at 12. And the loss is a recruit just down the block

Lincoln Christian tight end Jared Bubak confirmed Saturday that he's reopening his recruitment, with an eye on a program out west.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect committed to Bo Pelini's Husker staff in September, but has shown a strong interest in Arizona State, though he is yet to commit to the Sun Devils.

Bubak was a Journal Star Super-Stater last fall, with his athleticism helping Lincoln Christian in a lot of areas. He rushed for 970 yards and 18 touchdowns, and threw for 683 yards and nine more touchdowns. On defense, he had 34 tackles, 20 unassisted.

Ranked a three-star prospect, Bubak was offered a scholarship by Arizona State after he visited the school in Tempe in February.

The Huskers have been looking to stock the cupboards with more tight ends, signing Matt Snyder in the 2015 class, and gaining a commitment on Thursday from tight end Jack Stoll of Aurora, Colorado.
