Illinois vs. Nebraska, 01.15.2018

Herbie Husker welcomes the crowd to Pinnacle Bank Arena for the Huskers to take on Illinois in January at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Another piece of the Nebraska men's basketball team's non-conference schedule came to light Monday.

Western Illinois will visit Pinnacle Bank Arena Saturday, November 24. It is the second known home game on the Huskers' 2018-19 schedule.

The Leathernecks return six of their top seven scorers from a team that went 12-16 last season, including 3-11 in the Summit League. WIU finished last season 307th in the RPI.

The game, though, wasn't scheduled to improve NU's strength of schedule.

Current Huskers assistant Jim Molinari was the head coach at Western Illinois from 2008 to 2014. He came to Nebraska after the 2013-14 season.

Molinari brought the Leathernecks to Lincoln in November of 2013, when the Huskers won 62-47 in the second-ever regular season game at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
