Nebraska men's basketball practice, 10/3/17

Nebraska's Isaac Copeland defends the ball on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, during preseason basketball practice at the Hendricks Training Complex.

It won't be outdoors, but Nebraska men's basketball fans can still get a preview of the 2017-18 team during a public practice/scrimmage Nov. 2 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The event begins with open practice at 5:30 p.m., with the entire workout open to the public. The Husker will practice until 7 p.m., then run through a 30-minute scrimmage.

The team will sign autographs on the PBA concourse after the scrimmage.

The Husker men and women were originally scheduled to make their debuts Oct. 6 at the Huskers in the Haymarket event, which was to be an outdoor showcase on a temporary court next to the Railyard. Poor weather forced the cancellation of that event.

The Nov. 2 event will be the first live action for new Huskers Isaac Copeland, James Palmer Jr., Duby Okeke, Thomas Allen, Nana Akenten and Thorir Thorbjarnarson.

Free parking is available in the festival lot behind Pinnacle Bank Arena. Fans can also pay to park in the three parking garages on Pinnacle Arena Drive.

Nebraska will play an exhibition game against Division II Northwood Nov. 7 at PBA with the season opener set for Nov. 11 against Eastern Illinois.
