Woodmen Tower lit up in red as tribute to Foltz

Sam Foltz Memorial, 07/27/2016

As a tribute to Nebraska punter Sam Foltz, who was recently killed in a one-vehicle crash in Wisconsin, mourners continue to leave flowers, signs and other memorabilia at the statue of Brook Berringer and Tom Osborne on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, outside the north doors of Memorial Stadium.

The Woodmen Tower was dressed in red Friday night, lighting up the Downtown Omaha sky as a tribute to Sam Foltz.

The life of Foltz will be remembered and celebrated Saturday morning in a funeral in Grand Island.

Certainly it figures to be an emotional day with Foltz's Husker teammates and coaches expected to be in attendance.

Husker senior wide receiver Brandon Reilly, who was part of a very good walk-on class with Foltz, put it well on Twitter on Friday night.
