Husker football coaches hoped a weekend visit from defensive end Dimayra Mixon might sway the recruit away from a former Big 12 rival.
It sure appears that's happening. Mixon decommitted from Missouri on Saturday night, according to multiple reports and his Twitter account.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Mixon is a three-star prospect from Mesquite, Texas. He had committed Mizzou on Dec. 8. But it was clear the recruit was on the fence when he decided to visit Nebraska a few days before signing day.
There is no news of a commitment to the Huskers yet, but the signs are certainly pointing to that as Mixon completes his visit Sunday.
Nebraska entered the weekend with 24 pledges.
