'Tis the season to announce kickoff times, apparently.

Kickoff times for Nebraska's 2016 games against Illinois and Indiana were announced Wednesday, as the Big Ten Conference set start times for Homecoming games around the league.

The Huskers will host Illinois on Oct. 1 at Memorial Stadium with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. CT. The game with the Fighting Illini will conclude the 2016 Homecoming Week on the UNL Campus.

After a week off, Nebraska travels to Bloomington, Indiana, on Oct. 15 for Indiana’s homecoming game. The NU-Hoosier matchup will also kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT. The meeting between Nebraska and Indiana will be the first between the schools since Nebraska joined the Big Ten in 2011.

Television information for both the Illinois and Indiana games will be announced six to 12 days before kickoff.

With Wednesday’s announcement, kickoff times have been set for seven of Nebraska’s 12 regular-season games. Nebraska had a league-high five games previously announced as prime-time television contests.
