Nebraska Fall Football Practice, 8.22.15

Receivers Stanley Morgan (8) and Brandon Reilly (87) talk with Husker receivers coach Keith Williams during a practice last fall in Memorial Stadium. Thursday, Williams will return from a two-week suspension, but he won't coach during games until Oct. 1.

This was expected, but as noted in the story about the new contracts of two Husker assistants, Keith Williams' son, Keyan, is now listed on the Nebraska football roster. (I don't claim to check the roster daily, so this might have been the case for about four weeks now.)

Keyan Williams is a sophomore, who began his college career at Fresno State. His Husker bio states that he joined the team in January.

This had been anticipated, though Husker head coach Mike Riley was not able to confirm the transfer as official yet at the bowl site when asked about Williams joining the roster.

Keyan redshired his first season at Fresno State in 2014, before playing in five games last year, catching seven passes for 34 yards against the team the Huskers will open their 2016 season against.

Previously, at Lusher High School in New Orleans, Keyan was named to the 11-3A All-District team, was Lusher’s Offensive MVP and earned honorable-mention all-state accolades.
