South Dakota State vs. Nebraska, 9.21.13

Nebraska safety Charles Jackson (21) gestures over South Dakota State wide receiver Trevor Wesley (80) in fourth-quarter action during a 2013 at Memorial Stadium.

Charles Jackson tweeted this bit of news Monday, to the delight of many Husker fans I'm sure:

So I saw the doctor today and finally got cleared 100% full go. Anyone can overcome anything if you ask me

Jackson was projected as Nebraska's starting nickel back last August before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Teammate Corey Cooper said last summer that Jackson was the team's best overall athlete -- high praise, especially considering Cooper isn't exactly prone to hyperbole.

Jackson's injury was part of a rough month for the defense, which also lost middle linebacker Michael Rose-Ivey to a season-ending knee injury and safety LeRoy Alexander to a season-long suspension.

When Mike Riley meets the media Feb. 4 (national signing day), we can ask more about personnel and injury matters.
