OMAHA — Nebraska has another busy June of high school football camp dates coming up, meaning 100s of high school players will make their way through Lincoln again this summer.

The Huskers are hosting a Friday Night Lights camp on June 14 at Memorial Stadium, shortly after a 7-on-7 camp on June 9 and team camp on June 2.

The FNL camp is a holdover from the Mike Riley era, while NU is trying to build its 7-on-7 camp under the guidance of tight ends coach Sean Beckton.

Last year NU had around 15 teams for its 7-on-7 camp, deemed a first-year success, but this year the Huskers are taking up to 32 teams.

NU is also hosting youth camps and a pair “Inside Husker Football” camps for fans on June 6 and 12.

All registrations are at HuskerCamps.com and the website says more will be announced in the near future. Last year, the Huskers also hosted a “big man” camp for linemen and it’s possible the school will explore satellite opportunities through its sponsorship with Adidas. NU also had two FNL camps in 2018, so another addition for 2019 could still be in play.
