Nebraska vs. Iowa, 11.28.14

Nebraska's Paul Thurston (55) snaps the ball to Tommy Armstrong Jr. in the second half against Iowa on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at Kinnick Stadium.

Colorado State coach Mike Bobo announced on Tuesday that ex-Husker Paul Thurston will finish his career there as a grad transfer.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive lineman is originally from Arvada, Colorado. He will be eligible to play his final season right away.

Mike Riley announced after the Spring Game he did not expect Thurston to finish his last year at Nebraska.

Thurston played in 23 games as a Husker and was viewed as candidate for the center job this year, though it was tough for coaches to form an evaluation on him in the spring due to limited availability because of his class schedule.

He is one of two former Nebraska players finishing their final season elsewhere after graduating. It's already been announced that defensive tackle Kevin Williams is heading to Michigan State.
