Philadelphia Eagles' Carson Wentz scrambles as Dallas Cowboys' Randy Gregory pursues during the second half of a January 2017 game in Philadelphia.

The Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday extended the contract of former Nebraska pass-rusher Randy Gregory.

The dynamic edge rusher has been suspended multiple times during his NFL career, but the contract appears to carry little risk to the team.

According to the NFL Network, Gregory had part of his 2019 salary turned into a signing bonus and added a 2020 year worth $735,0000 plus some bonus potential.

Gregory was a second-round draft pick by Dallas in 2015.

Gregory is currently suspended indefinitely. According to ESPN, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed hope during the NFL Draft Combine that Gregory would be allowed to play at some point during the 2019 season.
