Let's face it: Recruiting is just a flat mess to follow sometimes.
This guy commits, that guy decommits. He's "a solid verbal," he's "a soft verbal," he's "on the fence."
So if you're going to take the journey, you best do it with some humor.
And you'd have to say it's somewhat humorous when Bo Pelini shows up at the doorstep of a Central Florida commit at the same time as Central Florida coach George O'Leary. (We grant you O'Leary might not think it's as funny as I do.)
We know this happened on Tuesday thanks to Twitter, and a tweet from the recruit both coaches showed up to see.
"Coach pelini and coach o'leary came at the exact same time... #fireworks #bumpinheads" tweeted defensive tackle Jamiyus Pittman.
One coach from Lincoln. One coach from Orlando. Meeting in Moultrie, Ga.

That was probably a fun, especially considering Nebraska just nabbed one of Central Florida's commitments a day ago.
Are the Huskers about to steal a second one? We shall see.
But if nothing else, a good recruiting story came out of it. It's the wild, wild west out there.
It brought to mind the story Turner Gill once told about how Tom Osborne and Barry Switzer were both trying to visit him on the same day.
Nebraska actually ended up hiding Gill at one of his friends house while Switzer hung out at Gill's house.
Gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.
