The Nebraska football program had a pair of guest speakers on Friday night.
They might be familiar to Husker fans.
Jason Peter and Grant Wistrom, the pair of national champion and All-American defenders, addressed players as the Huskers hit the one-week mark of preseason camp.
Scott Frost has infused a heavy dose of the past into the program in his first eight months on the job from his staff to his mentor Tom Osborne to the way he has the team train and practice.
But this one will still likely bring a smile to the face of Husker fans.
Thank you very much Clete and Jim Pillen for getting the jet to make it happen. Thank you @coach_frost for having us back. Very excited for this team. This group of men has the opportunity to be the team that rights the ship.— Grant Wistrom (@GrantWistrom) August 11, 2018
Wistrom indicated on Twitter that associate athletic director for football Matt Davison reached out on Thursday to ask if he and Peter would be interested in speaking, and one day later they were on a plane to Lincoln.
