The Nebraska football team wrapped up another spring practice Monday, moving things to Memorial Stadium.

Here are some post-practice nuggets from the offensive side of the ball.

* Offensive coordinator Troy Walters said the quarterbacks will be in non-contact jerseys for Saturday's Red-White Spring Game. "They're going to run the football, just like they've done all spring (but) they're going to be protected."

* What does Walters want to see Saturday? "Guys making plays, whichever team I'm on, winning," he joked.

But on a serious note, the coaches want to see execution.

"We're going to keep the game plan simple," Walters said. "We're going to let guys run around and make plays. We're not going to try to trick the defense."

* A couple playmakers, at the very least, are likely to be limited Saturday. Junior JD Spielman remains limited at practice, and true freshman Wan'Dale Robinson still has some lingering effects from a hamstring tweak suffered early in spring.

"As a former player, I error on the side of caution with hamstrings," Walters said. "We're going to take it slow and make sure that if he can go Saturday, he's healthy and ready to go, and if he's not, he'll be limited. We want to make sure he's ready for this fall, and really, this summer."

* Limitations are not stopping Robinson from finding ways to get better. Walters said if Robinson is not in class, he's in the office trying to learn two positions.

* Walters again brought up Andre Hunt as a player who continues to make strides at wide receiver. He also said true freshman Jamie Nance has looked good.

* Redshirt freshman Miles Jones continues to work at running back and wide receiver, Walters said.
