The final piece of the Nebraska football team's 2019 schedule is in place. 

The Huskers' Nov. 23 road game at Maryland is slated for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff and will be broadcast on Big Ten Network, the conference announced Monday morning. 

The contest was the final kickoff time that still needed to be set for NU, which hosts Wisconsin at 11 a.m. Saturday and then Iowa on Nov. 29 at 1:30 p.m.

"Everybody I see tells me that they knew what an undertaking this was, and that you don't fix 15 years in 18 months," the second-year Nebraska coach told the Journal Star. "But every once in awhile, someone will come up to me and say, 'Hey, don't listen to what everybody's saying.' Sometimes I think they forget you're an actual human being. Then I kind of scratch my head and think, 'Wow, it must be getting bad out there.'"

Nebraska head football strength coach Zach Duval provided some insight Thursday night into why his work area will be bigger in the new performance facility set for completion in 2022. "Obviously, you have the indoor (field) now," he said of the Hawks Championship Center. "But we're adding some stuff actually in the weight room to help deal with some of the running and the power, and the translating of the strength and power into movements."
