Nebraska's football recruiting had a whirlwind ride Friday, with the Huskers losing a commitment before apparently gaining one from a speedy running back.

Larenzo Stewart, a 5-foot-6, 165-pound running back from Klein, Texas, committed to NU, according to declarations on the Twitter accounts belonging to he, his family and friends.

Stewart, who also played slot receiver last year, reportedly has sub-4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash. However fast he runs, it was enough for him to rush for more than 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior.

His addition would seem welcome to Husker coaches on a day when Nebraska's class momentarily dipped to 10 when three-star defensive back Jason Hall announced he was decommitting.

The 6-2, 195-pound safety from Grand Prairie, Texas, had committed to Nebraska in May. But since then, he's received scholarship offers from Texas and Oklahoma, among others. Hall never did visit Nebraska. Many analysts consider Texas the favorite to land Hall.
