Nebraska announced one-year extensions for all of its assistant coaches and head strength and conditioning coach Zach Duval.

Each of NU's assistants is now under contract through Dec. 31, 2020. That, of course, no longer includes defensive line coach Mike Dawson, who is leaving the program to take a job with the New York Giants.

The financial terms remained the same for each coach. The Husker assistants each signed two-year deals when they were hired in December 2017 -- Jan. 2018 for inside linebackers coach Barrett Ruud -- so the one-year extensions essentially restore the same security each had when he was hired.

The 10 full-time assistants and Duval accounted for $4.85 million of a $5 million pool in 2018. With Dawson's departure, there is currently $4.375 million accounted for for 2019.

Salaries are as follows: Defensive coordinator Erik Chinander $800,000; offensive coordinator Troy Walters $700,000; offensive line coach Greg Austin $475,000; outside linebackers coach/special teams coordinator Jovan Dewitt $475,000; tight ends coach Sean Beckton $400,000; Duval $375,000; quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco $350,000; defensive backs coach Travis Fisher $300,000; running backs coach Ryan Held $300,000; Ruud $200,000.
