Nebraska vs. Illinois, 9/29/17

Nebraska running back Devine Ozigbo scores against Illinois in the second quarter Friday at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Ill.

Nebraska's penultimate home game for the 2018 season is getting an early start.

The Huskers' Big Ten West matchup against Illinois on Saturday is set to kick off at 11 a.m., the school announced Sunday morning, and will air on Big Ten Network.

The conference used a six-day pick designation for the full slate of games this coming weekend, giving itself more time than its usual 12 days to make determinations about who will play when.

For the Huskers, who took No. 10 Ohio State to the wire in a 36-31 loss Saturday in Columbus, and Illini, who put up 646 yards in a surprising rout of Minnesota, that means an early start.

The only game time still to be announced now is NU's Nov. 17 home game against Michigan State. That time is likely to be released Monday.
