Prosecutors have dismissed a domestic assault case against a former Husker football player.

Jermarcus "Yoshi" Hardrick, 22, was arrested Oct. 8 for what started with a verbal argument between Hardrick and a 20-year-old woman, who was throwing his property out a second-floor window.

He ended up jailed, then charged, after she told police Hardrick had grabbed her by the back of the neck and threw her across the room, leaving her with two scrapes on her back.

Last week, the Lancaster County Attorney's office dismissed his case after he was accepted into the pretrial diversion program.

The native of Batesville, Miss., was part of the Husker program during the past two seasons, starting all 13 games at left tackle on the offensive line in 2011.
