Note: The 2017 football season is fast approaching. Over 25 days, Husker Extra is taking a look at the top 25 opposing players Nebraska will see on the gridiron this fall. An edge rusher from Arkansas State is today's focus.

No. 19: Ja'Von Rolland-Jones

Arkansas State defensive end

* Fifth-year senior, 6-2, 244 pounds

Last time vs. Nebraska: The Huskers last played Arkansas State in 2012, Rolland-Jones' senior year of high school.

Last season's totals: 57 tackles, 24 solo, 20½ tackles for loss, 13½ sacks, 7 quarterback hits, 1 forced fumble.

Preseason buzz: Named to the Bednarik and Bronko Nagurski award watch lists.

Why he could give Nebraska fits: Rolland-Jones became the first defensive player since 2003 to win the Sun Belt player of the year last season and his ability to get through the offensive line and make plays in the backfield were a big reason why.

He finished fifth in the FBS in sacks recorded in 2016 and could cause problems for a Husker offensive line that hasn't been sorted out yet going into fall camp.
