Nebraska's first in-state offer for the 2017 recruiting class has been made. It belongs to Aurora's Austin Allen.
The tight end/defensive end received the offer on Friday.
Allen stands 6-feet-8, 220 pounds, and was on the Journal Star's Class B all-state team as a junior. He's also a significant presence on Aurora's basketball team.

He helped the football team reach the Class B state finals in 2015, though Aurora ultimately lost there 32-21 to Eklhorn South.
"He's such a physical kid and probably one of our best tacklers in space," Aurora's coach Kyle Peterson told the Journal early last fall as Allen started to take off. "His knowledge of the game helps. His knowledge of sports in general is amazing.
"He knows how to get open and he applies his basketball skills to get open in the seam. we line him up in the slot and at tight end. He's a pretty good blocker for us. He's not big but he uses his length."
