Count UNL graduates Kyle and Crystal Olig among those excited about Nebraska's venture into the Big Ten.
The couple lives in Columbus, Ohio, and Oct. 6, 2012, has been on their minds for quite some time.
"We were excited (about NU's move to the Big Ten)," Kyle said. "It was so hard to see a (Husker) game. We had to watch it online. You did what you could here to watch it."
The Oligs head the Central Ohioans for Nebraska group in Columbus, a chapter home to nearly 800 Nebraska alumni and growing.
There are four watch party sites in Ohio, including one at Gresso's in Columbus, where the Oligs go to cheer on Nebraska with other Big Red fans.

They hosted a Husker party, which featured the Nebraska cheer squad, Friday night and will attend the game at the Horseshoe on Saturday.
The Oligs have been to one game at Ohio Stadium, a couple of years ago when the Buckeyes hosted Colorado.
"They're great fans," Kyle said of the Buckeye faithful. "It's really similar to Nebraska. The colors are the same, the atmosphere is the same."
Kyle, an Omaha native, attended last year's Nebraska-0hio State game in Lincoln. He said his phone was buzzing with texts from friends from Ohio during the first half. His phone was a little quieter in the second half as Nebraska rallied for a 34-27 win.
"It was a fun, fun environment," Kyle said.
