How they got here: The Bulldogs nearly knocked off No. 2 Alabama for a spot in the BCS Championship Game. Instead, the SEC East Division champions head to Orlando, Fla.

Most impressive win

Florida. Georgia took control of the East Division with a 17-9 win Oct. 27 in Jacksonville, Fla. The Bulldogs forced Florida, headed to the Sugar Bowl, into six turnovers. Jarvis Jones had a huge game (13 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries).

Puzzling loss

At South Carolina. How did the Bulldogs lose by four touchdowns? The Gamecocks took an early 21-0 lead and Georgia was unable to recover. One of the early touchdowns came after an Aaron Murray interception.

Huskers need to be aware of ...

Jarvis Jones. He may be the best defensive player Nebraska sees all season. The outside linebacker has 77 tackles, 22 1/2 tackles for loss, 12 1/2 sacks and seven forced fumbles. Jones is a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Lombardi, Bednarik and Butkus awards and a semifinalist for the Lott IMPACT Award.

The running backs. Todd Gurley has rushed for 1,288 yards and 16 touchdowns, while Keith Marshall has accounted for 743 yards and eight touchdowns. They're only freshmen. The Huskers won't be able to focus their attention on just stopping the run because ...

Aaron Murray. The senior is considered one of the top quarterback prospects for next April's NFL Draft. He has completed 65 percent of his passes for 3,466 yards and 31 touchdowns. He's averaging 266.6 yards per game and leads the nation in passing efficiency.

Weaknesses

Not many. After all, this team did nearly reach the BCS title game. The Bulldogs do rank near the bottom of the SEC in rushing defense.
