Former Husker James Green was knocked out of the World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary, with a loss Monday morning.

Green, wrestling at 70 kg (154 pounds), won his opening bout against Khadzimurad Gadzhiyev of Azerbaijan 6-5 after jumping to a 6-2 lead. In the second round, Green competed lost to Byambadorj Bat-Erdene of Mongolia 4-2.

Green's chances of wrestling back ended when Bat-Erdene failed to win his next two matches.
