June 2, 2011: Erstad is named Nebraska's 23rd head coach, replacing Mike Anderson. Erstad served as the Huskers' volunteer coach prior to being hired.

Feb. 17, 2012: Erstad coaches his first game as Husker skipper; Huskers lose to Gonzaga 7-4 in Peoria, Arizona.

2012: Nebraska finishes 35-23 in his first season as Husker coach.

May 2013: Nebraska, needing to win the Big Ten Tournament to reach the NCAA Tournament, comes within a game of doing so, losing to Indiana in the final in Minneapolis. NU finishes season 29-30.

May 2014: Huskers reach the Big Ten Tournament final in Omaha before losing to Indiana 8-4 before 19,965 fans.

June 2014: Nebraska goes 1-2 in the Stillwater Regional, beating Binghamton and losing to Cal State Fullerton twice. It marked the Huskers' first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2008.

May 2015: Huskers go 0-2 in the Big Ten Tournament and fail to reach the NCAA Tournament.

May/June 2016: Huskers go 0-2 in the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha and then 0-2 in the Clemson Regional.

May 20, 2017: Nebraska beats Penn State 21-3 to clinch its first Big Ten regular-season championship. Erstad is named Big Ten coach of the year.

May/June 2017: Huskers go 1-2 in the Big Ten Tournament and then 0-2 in the Corvallis Regional.

Feb. 23, 2018: Erstad becomes the fourth-winningest coach in program history with his 215th win, passing Dave Van Horn (214).

May 2018: Huskers close the season 24-28 and fail to make the Big Ten Tournament.

May 26, 2019: Huskers reach the Big Ten Tournament championship game; lose to Ohio State 3-1 in the final.

June 2, 2019: Nebraska loses to UConn 16-1 in the Oklahoma City Regional, ending the Huskers' season at 32-24.

June 3, 2019: Erstad resigns from his post, one day before his 45th birthday.
