CORVALLIS, Ore. — Creighton rallied to score seven runs in the ninth inning against Michigan at Goss Stadium Sunday winning 11-7, forcing a second game on Monday between the teams to decide the Corvallis Regional.
Creighton beat No. 4 seed Cincinnati earlier in the day in a 6-1 elimination-game victory to set up the matchup with the Wolverines.
Michigan (43-19) defeated Creighton (Creighton 41-12) 6-0 Friday in the opening game of the Corvallis Regional.
Indiana State 10, Ohio State 5: Clay Dungan hit a two-run single as Indiana scored four runs in the sixth inning, and the Sycamores stayed alive Sunday by eliminating Ohio State in Nashville.
The No. 2 seeded Sycamores (43-18) were later eliminated Sunday night, losing to Vanderbilt, the No. 2 seed overall nationally, 12-1.
Ohio State (36-27) led 3-2 after the first inning highlighted by Connor Pohl's two-run home run. The Big Ten Tournament champs were up 4-2 when Zach Dezenzo added an RBI single in the third.
Louisville 9, Indiana 7: Alex Binelas had four RBI including a two-run homer, and Michael Kirian recorded the final strike in a tense ninth inning as top-seeded Louisville survived rival Indiana on Sunday in an elimination game of the NCAA Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky.
After reaching on an error to start a four-run second, Binelas delivered a third-inning drive to center to make it 6-0. His RBI double and Drew Campbell's run-scoring single in the seventh provided a 9-4 cushion that proved critical for Louisville (45-16) as the Hoosiers rallied with two runs in the ninth and had the tying run at the plate.
Danny Oriente and Justin Lavey each knocked in two runs for Louisville, the tournament's No. 7 overall seed, which beat No. 3 Illinois State 11-2 later in the day to force a winner-take-all game Monday.
